ENGINEERING NOTE

iAHRS V1, V2 and V3: compare platforms and interfaces

Compare sensor components, installation requirements and communication options before choosing a generation.

V1: check the existing installation

The V1 platform in the ROBOR comparison uses ICM-20948. The housed RB-SDA-v1 and board-level RB-OB-v1 use different interfaces, so their wiring is not interchangeable simply because both are V1 products.

V2: ICM-45686 + MMC5983MA

V2 combines an ICM-45686 inertial sensor with an MMC5983MA magnetometer. Consider it for compact equipment and applications involving vibration or temperature changes, then evaluate it under actual operating conditions.

V3: ICM-42688-P + RM3100

V3 combines an ICM-42688-P inertial sensor with an RM3100 magnetometer. It is a candidate when inertial noise and heading measurement are priorities. Installation magnetic fields and calibration still matter.

Common USB, model-specific additional interface

USB is common to all interface variants. No suffix selects RS-232, _1 selects CAN and _2 selects RS-485. Compare firmware, calibration and test conditions; component noise is not a finished-product accuracy guarantee.

Availability

V2 and V3 are coming soon, with Korean KC registration in progress. Sales are planned after completion. Consult the main product page for current status and planned pricing; verify power and pinout before a replacement.
